Two of the standout features of Google searches, namely Featured Snippets and Google Suggest, are joining hands to give searchers a better, more organic experience. There are times when searchers are not exactly precise with what they are searching. Featured Snippets will now nudge searchers gently towards a more specific search with the help of Google Suggest.
With this new feature, you will find Featured Snippets showing some buttons that are meant to guide searchers to a more nuanced search. This nudge is coming from Google Suggest. For example, if you want to carry out an operation on a mobile phone and search for that, the new feature will help you towards deciding what kind of operating system your mobile is using, Android or iOS. This is how searchers will be directed towards what they are looking for, but not always searching for.
The shadowy part of this is that there is no official announcement or confirmation from Google about this new collaboration of Featured Snippets and Google Suggest. However, on our research on this new feature, we have come across this on various searches. Even when we broadened our searches on different browsers, the results were identical. This confirms our position that this must be something that is taking shape in the background.
If this is the way forward, it will be a wonderful experience for searchers because there are times when they are unsure about what they want. If they are directed towards a more specific search, they will quickly get what they want. Websites can also focus on writing targeted, specific content to satisfy searchers instead of throwing up generic material. On the whole, this new feature will take the practice of searching a step forward.
