Dr. Mahua Datta is a versatile Marketing trainer and facilitator. She is also Associate Committee member and well wisher of Seven Boats Academy. Dr. Datta has more than 20 years of work experience in corporates like Standard Chartered, HDFC etc. and academic institutions like Jadavpur University, Calcutta University, ISB&M, EIILM, Unitedworld School of Business, ICFAI Business School etc. She completed her graduation in Economics and MBM in Marketing Management from University of Calcutta. She has done her PhD in Retail Marketing Management and has published several research papers in journals and conferences. She has received best paper awards from several institutions including IIT Kharagpur, IIM Ahmedabad. She has been a corporate trainer for more than 15 years now and has trained senior management employees of several public and private sector organisations in the area of Marketing and Digital Marketing with special focus on consumer behaviour and content strategy. She is a proud alumnus of Seven Boats Academy as well. Currently she is working as the Chief Manager Business Development with Ingreens Private limited. She is an avid traveller and loves meeting people.

Who are we?
DevilYou is the brainchild of two academicians in the field of marketing who always believed that real learning could happen beyond the classroom lectures. Despite their regular hectic schedule of teaching, training, project supervision and nurturing young talents, they never have deviated from their core principles, philosophy and ethics. Their inexorable march of passion, perfectionism and commitment dovetailed into their love for chocolates that led to formation of the company DEMASS Chocolates and brand DevilYou in 2016 along with two students.
But it has a long past!!!!
It all started with a class project seven years back on homemade chocolates, which then got bigger into a business model that the students have presented and won prize in business plan competition and live sales competition organized by premium business schools including IIM Calcutta. As a classic case of lean start up, this journey witnessed a number of pivots and design thinking, considering the challenges that one academician often faces on being entered into an uncharted territory of entrepreneurship. In 2016, things started shaping a bit with two students having firm commitment in the project. They all also shared the belief of sustainable and inclusive growth as espoused by Triple Bottom Line model which focuses on creating social and environmental value along with the traditional financial value. Hence, the company since its inception days focused on using natural ingredients in the production to the extent possible. Currently the company’s endeavour hinges on incorporating more and more flavours suiting the Indian palate.
The next level will involve emancipation of marginalized people in the process of business value creation by empowering them with knowledge, skill and confidence so that they could quash the evil of poverty, alienation, lack of self-esteem and mistreatment thus justifying the brand motto “Destroy Evil in You”
